The Tackiest Break Ups in Hollywood

Celebrity Magazines such as Star Magazine and the National Enquirer make it their business to report on the love lives of celebrities. Up to the minute news and information on new relationships and couples who have called it quits. While celebrities are definitely different from us, it is definitely proven in the way they choose to end their relationships. Though sometime funny, celebrities can sometime choose the tackiest ways to end their relationships.

Breakups via television

Laura Dern and Billy Bob Thorton had dates for a few years and in fact were engaged. Unfortunately, for Dern, Thorton became smitten with Angelina Jolie on the set of their film Pushing Tin. The two married shortly thereafter but failed to inform Dern. She found out with the rest of the world as we watched in horror on one of our favorite celebrity gossip shows.

At the time, Laura Dern and Billy Bob were sharing a house. To make matters worse when Dern wanted to retrieve her things they were already boxed and put in storage, unceremoniously removed from the house the way Thorton removed her from his life.

Express Mail Break Ups

Sylvester Stallone dated model Jennifer Flavin but decided the relationship was not working for him. Unsure of how to break up with Jennifer, Sly decided to write a long heart felt letter to his girlfriend. Maybe because he was nervous about what her reaction would be Mr. Stallone decided it was best for him to be far away from Jennifer when she read the letter. The letter was delivered via express mail, and Jennifer found out the relationship was caput from the Federal Express Man.

Technology Driven Break Ups

We live in the information age, and it stands to reason that the demise of a relationship may take a futuristic turn. The world waited with baited breath for Britney Spears to end her marriage to Kevin Federline. Perhaps it is just a case of an individual getting their just desserts. The relationship between Britney Spears and Federline began when his girlfriend Shar Jackson was in her third trimester of pregnancy with his son. Perhaps Shar did not see it coming, but it is almost certain that Federline did not see it coming when Spears informed him that she wished to void their union via text message.

Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson were the darlings of MTV and famous for their television show Newlyweds. Unfortunately for Nick and Jessica their marriage could not withstand the strain or attention from the media. Rumors of a troubled relationship persisted for sometime before the couple called it quits Thanksgiving 2005. Rumor has it Jessica told Nick emailed the news to Nick.

Ending a relationship is usually never easy, whether you are famous or just a regular Joe. However, a break up should be done as painlessly as possible. Hopefully the next time Jess, Britney, or Billy Bob decide to break up with someone, the pages of Star Magazine or The National Enquirer will report that they at least did it in person.

Truth Behind Celebrity Gossips

Gossip and scandal are everywhere when it comes to stars and celebrities around the world. And no matter how much you deny that you don’t pay attention to celebrity news, how often do you find yourself joining in a hot discussion at work or around the dinner table? Keeping your eye on the stars is one way to amuse yourself and keep smiling.

Not many people can resist a bit of gossip about the celebrities that make the news. Award ceremonies are a great way to see what everyone is wearing and how bad or good they look wearing it. Watching a popular starlet stumble her way to the podium wearing an unflattering dress can lead to weeks of gossip about what not to wear when the cameras are hot and ready. Magazines are filled with the latest fashion mistakes that the stars make when they venture out into public places.

Celebrity relationships continue to baffle most of us. What makes motion picture stars such as Brad Pitt leave one relationship for another? Celebrity gossip has followed Mr. Pitt as he baffles the media with his behavior. The scandal of celebrity relationships gone wrong is always at the forefront of the news, covering the pages of serious newspapers all the way to gossip magazines that line the shelves at the grocery store.

Long before Santa came on the scene, the ancient Chinese knew all about spenders through the craft of face reading. They could look at a person’s face and tell his past, present and future, his temperament, disposition, creativity, and whether the person is, or will be, fortunate or not so fortunate. Even today, it’s still around in China and has gotten attention in psychology circles in America.

Face reading experts think the best gifts usually come from women who have big eyes and men with a big nose. So, fall in love with women with wide eyes and smile at men who get their nose into everything.

If we look at famous Hollywood celebrities, George Clooney has a strong, affirmative nose on a well-balanced face. Often such people reach high goals and are generous.

Reese Witherspoon’s nose tells that she likes to give big-time presents to all her close ones. She has a broad, nice smile. That means also she has a pleasant personality. But even though there’s a lot of sweetness in her face, you can bet your life she is a strong individual. Her face has high cheekbones and it means that she is the one who says where the dinner table stands. -No, honey, I said over there.

Of other Hollywood celebrities, Chinese face reading pinpoints Jack Nicholson as a generous man, who buys plenty of Holiday goodies for his male and female pals. Flaring nostrils suggest Jack is very emotional and might throw a tantrum at any time. The wide smile tells of a pleasing personality, but when the lips are thin, the person is disposed to say something anytime he wants to. Nicholson’s ears are good. They are long and nicely set, so he is very fortunate in most ways, according to face reading.

As a society, America is quite the celebrity obsessed culture. We share an ever increasing appetite for all news and reports related to our favorite entertainers. Magazines like In Touch Weekly, The National Enquirer and Star Magazine have impressive sales figures as readers fight to get their hands news about both the personal and professional lives of those within the entertainment community.

No matter how incidental the news, readers of celebrity tomes such as In Touch Weekly Magazine and viewers of popular entertainment programs such as Entertainment Tonight, readers and viewers respectively continue to tune in. With so much information available about the lives of our favorite stars it is easy to believe that we know them personally. We look at them as a friend and tend make certain allowances for sometimes odd and even dangerous behavior. We put them up on a pedestal and believe that they are not to be judged by the same standards as the rest of us, sometimes with funny results.

My Mom Named Me Rainbow and My Sister Sonnet

The impending birth of an A list celebrities child can reach epic proportions. Bidding wars often break out amongst magazines like In Touch Weekly to publish the first pictures of the darling newborn. We wait with baited breath to hear the name that our favorite stars have blessed their little ones with. Traditional names such as Sarah, Christopher or Susan will never do. Instead we have names like Ocean, Banjo, Seven, and Puma. Should we wait for the name Loser? I fear the celebrity progeny will one day get even. I can see it now, the tell all book hits the shelf listing a number of abuses starting with the stupidest name known to creation.

Officer I Did Not Know the Speed Limit Applied to Me

In Touch Weekly and other celebrity gossip sources includes pictures and stories of stars that have somehow broken the law. We shake our heads when a well known movie star is in the middle of traffic raving about aliens, or intoxicated while driving down the highway in the wrong direction. Often the prognosis is exhaustion from working too hard. To be fair, you would be exhausted too if you earned millions of dollars for working only a couple of months, traveling the globe, and had people to see to your every wish and desire. Being a celebrity is really hard work.

I Think You will be my First Husband

Relationship breakups and divorces can make celebrity weekly magazines giddy. Readers bet on how long a Hollywood relationship will last, or how long before the divorce takes place before the wedding. The idea that those who are creative should not have to make a commitment to anyone or anything is for the sole purpose of excusing celebrities for their broken marriages, fractured families or for the complete mess they make of their personal lives.

No what they name their children, or how much trouble they get into it is okay. They forgive us for completely invading their privacy while we forgive them for being eccentric.

The Anatomy Of A Celebrity Relationshop

Lisa James asked:

Popular celebrity gossip magazines such as Star Magazine and the National Enquirer publish titillating tidbits on the love lives of our favorite celebrities. After a while a pattern seems to emerge and the realization that there is and you can dissect the anatomy of a Hollywood relationship.

Just Friends

Upon meeting and deciding that they would like to begin a relationship it is necessary for the couple to deny all connections to the media. This can be done on the talk show circuit, on their website and of course through their publicists. They will of course admit to knowing one another but of course the relationship is always strictly platonic, and they are of course just friends. This is of course until they are ready to come out as a couple, and then will begin to travel the awards show circuit together, and are seen canoodling in public.

We Are Not Engaged

Unfortunately, A list celebrities can do very little without being stalked by the paparazzi. All trips to the jewelry store are suspect, and is generally met with excitement and transplanted upon the pages of gossip shows and magazines. My heart goes out to the prospective groom who may change his mind and is now expected to propose that may have changed his mind for whatever reason.

The Break Ups

I have something of a sixth sense about impending celebrity break ups. The signs are always there, but of course denial is always the name of the game.

Couples that are happy together and are eager to be in the company of one another tend to smile and hold one another. For a myriad of reasons celebrities do not always announce their splits right away and often continue to make the rounds with each other. They rarely smile and once they do it looks painful.

There may be instances of one part of the dynamic duo is seen behaving inappropriately with someone else by cameras or rumors of a budding romance on the set of a movie start making the rounds. Of course, the entertainment industry is business after all. The announcement of a breakup will occur but it must be times perfectly. The old adage is that all publicity is good publicity. What could be more compelling than a starlet who has had her heart broken? Especially if it happens to occur around the same time that her new romantic comedy is opening up and she finds the man of her dreams.

What Ever Happened to Reading a Good Book?

Keith Shaw asked:

(c) 2008 Mind Body Spirit Central, LLC

In a 2007 program on National Public Radio (NPR), Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. discussed how in the U.S., people know more about “events” like the results of the “American Idol” show(on the 10 or 11 p.m. news!) and celebrity “gossip” (insert name of celebrity here) than they do about public and social concerns, not only those in the U.S. but also around the world.

In fact, the U.S. major “news” outlets (e.g., C.N.N., MSNBC, Fox) spend more airtime recycling and regurgitating the celebrity “news” that they do on any other story (e.g., Paris Hilton’s jail woes in 2007). And, more and more reality shows with little or no content come out every season…

Yes, it is the “dumbing” down of the U.S. public.

This phenomenon is not limited to the United States. Studies in Australia have also shown that too much television causes marked memory loss. The researchers believe that passive television watching does not intellectually stimulate the mind. In fact, most shows do not stimulate critical thinking.

And, today on 21 August 2008, in a story reported by Christine Ollivier of the Associated Press, France has banned French T.V. channels from airing programming focused at children younger than 3 years of age. For foreign programs that are offered on cable, a warning message will be broadcast at the beginning of each show! (wow, just like a package of cigarettes!) Health experts have stated that “Television viewing hurts the development of children under three years old. Risks include slow language acquisition and development, over-excitedness, troubles with CONCENTRATION and more”.

Yet, children continue to spend on average up to 4 hours per day watching television according to the American Academy of Pediatrics. In comparison, they spend on average ONLY 2 hours and 14 minutes PER WEEK studying and doing school work (USA Today Weekend Magazine).

In addition, children who watch too much television are more likely to be overweight. And if your child watches 3 to 4 hours of television per day, he will have seen about 8,000 murders (!) on T.V. by the time he finishes grade school. In comparison, the average American adult watches nearly five hours of television per day (A.C. Nielsen).

And, obesity is on the rise in adults as well. According to the CDC, only four states (Hawaii, Colorado, Connecticut and Vermont) had obesity prevalence rates less than 20 percent, while 17 states had prevalence rates equal to or greater than 25 percent. In a recent BBC America program on health and wellness, in the U.K. obesity is approaching 25% of the population.

In addition, more television means less communication with others both inside and outside the home. When the television is on for hours each day, it’s much more difficult to have real conversations with the people in your life. Over time, less communication means weaker relationships and less of other important things in your life.

So what can you do? Well…turn off the television and begin to use tools that can develop your mind in a positive and productive manner! And, the good news is that there are many great self-improvement systems in print that have content on how your can develop your mental powers of concentration, thinking and more. In addition, there are many that give you the strategies to improve your positive, quality INTERPERSONAL (i.e., face-to-face) communication with others, that can lead to wealth, prosperity and abundance in your life. In fact, if you look at many successful people today, you will see that they are master communicators.

In addition, look for resources that show you how know to use the tools of consciousness and wisdom to find the spiritual power within you. The goal of which is to become less focused on “the Self” and more focused on the truth that will lead you to happiness. Communication with others will be improved, and the doors to a life of abundance will open for you.

MOTIVATE yourself and take time to develop your mind and spirit. Turn off the television. And even take some time away from the iPod and Blackberry. Put them aside. Don’t worry, they will still be there waiting for you.

Every action you take defines your life. Wake up, become aware and take action today to make your mind “sharp as a tack”.

Your Choice for a Mobile Entertainment Provider

Jim Mackey asked:

Cell phones are all the rage these days. Everywhere you go, you see someone talking on their phone, sending text messages or talking into a blue tooth headset sticking out of their ear. It’s become commonplace to see people alone in cars actively having a conversation. Cell phones have gone from being a luxury for the rich, to a necessity for all. Even kids in middle school are using cell phones to call parents when its time to be picked up from the mall.

With all the cell phone usage out there, comes the opportunity to accessorize. Many cell phone providers offer special ringtones, wallpaper and games for an additional fee. But there are other sites that offer more extended versions of all these things and more. Thumbplay is a popular provider of extended cell phone services. Thumbplay offers musical ringtones in almost 50 genres such as hip hop, hard rock, dance, indie, smooth R&B, all the classics and even college fight songs. Currently there are over 10,000 downloadable ringtones available through Thumbplay. There are also seven different genres of games available from Thumbplay including arcade puzzle, board games, racing, sports and strategy.

If you’re interested in wallpaper to give your phone a unique look of self expression, there are 18 genres including sports, cartoons, or the best selling link for the wallpapers that are most popular.

Thumbplay also offers celebrity gossip, daily horoscopes and jokes sent directly to your phone through their texting service. A couple of other options available through the text service include Daily Insults, Bible Quotes, Booze Tips, Daily Inspiration and Hip Hop Gossip. If you have a specific song, game or wallpaper that you’re looking for, you can search through the Thumbplay site for it, or just look around for what grabs your attention.

Many wonder if this service will work for their phone or service provider. Thumbplay works with most major providers and phone manufacturers including: Nokia, Samsung, Sony, Ericcson, Motorola, LG, Panasonic, Boost, Sprint PCS, AT&T, Nextel, T-Mobile and Cingular. Thumbplay also touts amazing 24/7 customer service to its subscribers. This is extremely helpful to those that might be out late and having trouble with their wallpaper or ringtone.

Another appealing feature to Thumbplay is the cost. The pricing structure is based on a credit system, so if you pay $9.99 per month, you receive 10 downloads. New members receive 10 bonus downloads for free. The pricing information is a bit difficult to find beyond that, but each download appears to be worth one credit. You can also sign up for an account with Thumbplay for free and share pictures with friends. The only real pricing comes with downloading of ringtones, games or wallpaper.
